Join us for our monthly meeting of the GMVA! We are always welcoming new members to our merry band of Rodeo Fans and Veteran Causes. We meet in the GMVA Hall on the first Thursday of every month. As we prepare for the 70th Annual Glennville Rodeo, we need your help! Come out for a workday. All workdays begin at 9am and lunch is always provided to all workers. Come with work gloves-no experience is necessary!
Two days of great ranch rodeo action for the whole family! The fun begins on Friday May 18th, with the Scholarship Presentation dinner at 5 pm, and the Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament at 7. We continue the fun on Saturday May 19th bright an early. Rodeo entries will open at 7 am, and the Grand Entry will take place at 8:45am. The ranch rodeo events will start at 9 am with the Keyhole Race, Sort & Rope, Saddle Bronc riding, Trailer loading, and Team Sorting. The little ones can also enjoy the Buckaroo Camp including a color race, dummy roping, tic-tac-toe race and dance-off. Buckaroo camp ages start at Cowpoke ages 3-6, Wrangler 7-10, and Trail Boss 11-13. All Buckaroo Camp events begin at 10am both days. The singles Horseshoe Tournament begins at 10 am as well. The Cowboy Marketplace opens at 10:30 with everything from cowboy gear, to home décor, clothing and so much more. The TMP fundraiser BBQ is held Saturday night, with silent auction opening at 3 pm, and the food being served at 5:30. After dinner we have our live auction and Calcutta for the Ranchers Choice Obstacle course the following day. We also have family blackjack table running throughout the evening, with the rodeo dance starting at 8 pm. Sunday morning at 8:30 am begins with Cowboy Church, and rodeo events starting again at 9:30am. Team Sorting, Ranch Sort and Brand, In & Bye, and the Ranchers Choice Obstacle Course starts at 10 am, while the 2-man Horseshoe Tournament begins at 1 pm. The Open and Mule division for the Trail Challenge will also start at 1pm at the south end of the arena. The Buckaroo Camp opens for kids 10 am with Sack races, obstacle course, stick horse race and egg toss. The Cowboy Marketplace will be open from 10:30 am to 3 pm on Sunday. Rodeo entries are available online at www.tmpranchrodeo.org, with entry deadline being May 1st, and a $5 fee added to late rodeo entries. Food and drink will be available for purchase courtesy of the Greenhorn Mountain Veterans Association throughout the weekend. Proceeds from the weekend go to the Thomas Midnight Pewitt Memorial Scholarship fund, granting $1,000 scholarships to graduating senior with ties to Agriculture and Athletics. The 70th Annual Glennville Rodeo Kick-Off Come help us kick-off the rodeo season with a fashion show and food! It will all be happening at the Emporium Western Store. The Miss Rodeo Glennville Royalty and contestants will be modeling the latest western fashion trends from the Emporium Western Store. Great sale prices, with 10% ALL store items, even sale items. Plus, the Emporium will donate 10% of all sales to the GMVA. We will have a trivia wheel where you can win great prizes and rodeo tickets. We will also have the Muttin Busting sign-ups for kids 5-8(or under 50 lbs), and rodeo clown costume contest for kids under 12. Come join the fun and we will see you at the Big Red Boot!
Come cheer on our 2018 Contestants as they display their Horsemanship Skills. A Glennville 4-H Fundraiser dinner and Wild Rag Contest will be held immediately following the Horsemanship in the GMVA Park. All proceeds will benefit our Glennville 4-H Club. Thank heaven for COWGIRLS! Come celebrate our 2018 Glennville Rodeo Queen contestants as they model their finest western attire and demonstrate their amazing public speaking skills! Dinner, silent auction to raise funds for Small Miracles and lots of bling! Tickets are $10 per person, payable at the door.
